The £5.00 Matalan Summer Dress

Heyy Everyone, 
Well I had to share this rather amazing bargain I found. I'm not a massive shopper in Matalan but while bored one evening I decided to have a nose on their website because they do have some gems sometimes and I do like their home section. 
I found a cute floral print summer dress that came in a few different colours for 5 POUND, I could not believe it. I initially wanted the hot pink one, but that was sold out completely. When I clicked on the other colours they was only available in size large so I thought well if its a bit big its ok, I don't mind. 
So they arrived today and the size large being the only size available actually turned out to be a blessing because they fit exactly the way I would like. My first thoughts is, they are quite short and the material is thin. However the print is gorgeous and the elastic bit at the top fits really nice, nothing worse than having to keep hoying strapless things up all the time. 

I ordered one in a orangy peach colour and the other a greeny turquoise. I think they are so cute and I cant wait to wear them, we just need the sun now, if it ever does come!!
If your going to order i'd probably go a size up, because to me I dont think you could class these dresses as a true large so just bare that in mind especially if your a bit curvier like me. 

Hope your all enjoying your weekend, i'm just currently recovering from yet another dose of tonsillitis, it really does get me down sometimes, but i'm feeling allot better than I did.   

Also I managed to get my hands on 5ive tickets yesterday, I swear i'm so excited, they were my ultimate boyband when I was growing up, was never a Take That fan, was East 17 and then 5ive all the way for me, Abz was such a massive crush of mine and I remember covering all my school books with posters of him. I managed to get us really good seats so roll on November, iv'e already been blasting all their songs out getting in the mood haha. 

Are any of you going to see 5ive too?? Or any other exciting concerts??

Happy New Year - Bye Bye 2012

Heyy Everyone...
Sooo its now 2013, I wish each and every one of you reading this a Happy New Year and I hope its all you wish it to be. Im not usually big on NYE and the last few years ive happily had quiet drinks at home with a film. This year however I made plans of sorts and that was going to a local pub then my friends house who lives just 5 minutes from the pub for a little house party. 

I decided to dress quite casual as I wanted to be comfortable but I still wanted to be dressy enough to see in the new year so I decided on black top, black high waisted  leggings and to jazz it all up a blue sequined jacket that I got for half price in the Matalan sale. 

I teamed this with a pair of blue wedges I got in the New Look sale for £12.00 my trusty studded Primark bag and feather earrings also from New Look. 

Im not really one for resolutions either but I am being a massive cliche and deciding I want to get fit for the new year and ive decided the only way to do that is to re join the gym. Ive made a sneeky order from sports direct and got myself some new gym wear and im planning on going down the gym tomorrow to book my induction.... wish me luck. 

Im also wanting to pass my driving test this year, ive had about 8 lessons already so im just going to keep those up and hopefully pass soon. My next lesson is on the 4th and im hoping ive not forgot too much over the festive period.

If you have made any resolutions then I would love to hear them. Oh and what you making of the sales this year, ive actually not been into town yet but made a few online orders. I just couldnt face the crowds.

Its the last one.. and MY size.. must be FATE!!

Heyy Everyone..
Have you ever been shopping, see something you like.. you look and oh no theres only one left so you quickly check the tag for the size and its like the angels are singing as your size is looking up at you in black and white. You then MUST have it because lets face it, it must be fate ;) Little OTT maybe but that's how I justified my most recent purchase.
I popped into Matalan needing doormats.. random I know but needed all the same. I actually really like the home section of Matalan and very good prices so while I was in there I thought would be rude not to check out the clothes and shoes since I'm here anyway. I was actually very impressed with some clothes I seen but nothing was making me want to break my 'trying to be good (better) with money' phase that I'm trying to stick to. That was until I saw this fabulous playsuit.

When I think of playsuits its usually something very casual you would wear on a summer day or on a holiday, I've never seen one this smart before. The top is a gorgeous sheer material with a little cat pattern all over and a collar, then goes down into a very flattering pair of shorts. Not too short, or long just perfect.

I wore it yesterday with a pair of black tights (Primark) underneath and a pair of Leopard print flats (also Primark) but I think it could also be dressed up very easily for a evening.
It cost me £24 and to be honest its more than id like to pay for a playsuit but I think because its so versatile I can get lots of wear out of it.

Anyone else found any Matalan gems, id love to hear them
