Illamasqua Treats

Heyy Everyone..
As it was recently my birthday I decided to treat myself to two Illamasqua items off my wishlist. 

So heres we have Powder Blush in Sophie and a Lipstick in Immodest. I've been eyeing these for so long and im over the moon to finally have them. 

The Sophie Blusher is named after Sophie Lancaster who along with her boyfriend Robert Maltby was kicked, stamped on and left unconscious for nothing more than looking different. Unfortunately Sophie died from her injuries. This is a truly shocking story and its times like this you realize exactly how vile some people can be in this world.  
The Sophie Lancaster foundation was set up by Sylvia Lancaster Sophie's mother who works to stamp out intolerance and discrimination in society. As a brand that promotes the right to experiment and self-express Illamasqua is proud to support the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

The Sophie Blusher is described as a Golden Coral Shimmer and id say that's spot on. On first impression id say it looks very similar to NARS Orgasm blush but I don't own it so I cant do a proper compare. This blush does have shimmer particles in it but I don't mind that at all, however if you do hate glitter in your blush don't dismiss this because the shimmer particles are so tiny you wont be left with disco ball face I find it just give a nice radiance to the skin.

Illamasqua's Immodest lipstick is a vivid blue toned pink, highly pigmented and looks very bright at first glance, however once you apply it you find its allot more wearable than you think at first glance and of course it can be built up to however intense you would like it. I'm a sucker for bright pink lipsticks so I knew this had to be mine. This is a very matte lipstick so you might want to pop some lip balm on before and because its so matte it does highlight any dryness so maybe a bit of lip prep might be in order. That aside its very pigmented and once on the lips it does not feather or bleed. A perfect addition to my collection. 

I will be wearing both blush and lipstick on my night out tomorrow so I will have a FOTN to show you plus I can tell you how well I found them to last of an evening. 

I'm over the moon with these two little gems, Illamasqua don't ever get it wrong in my opinion.

My Top 5 Hot Pink Lipsticks

Heyy everyone...
I always plan on doing my top 5/10 on things but never get round to it, well im finally doing one now and what better way to start it off than with hot pink lipsticks. 
Ive discovered I have quite a 'thing' for hot pink lipstick recently so here are my favourite ones. 

 L-R... Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 20, Revlon Lip Butter in Lollypop, Barry M in 52, Hello Kitty Lipstick in Underground Queen and Illamasqua in Eurydice. 

I have a slight addiction to the Kate lipsticks recently and this is one my most favourites and best of all I found it in the half price basket in Boots, I have no idea why this was in there but it was and I could not have been happier to see it. 
Ive heard its a good dupe for Macs Girl about town lipstick, I dont own that so I dont know for sure but it looks very similar. 
It goes on the lips nicely and the pigment is great as you can see, also has good lasting power. 

Im sure your all familiar with the Revlon Lip Butters, now looking at this and the Kate lipstick above they look almost identical. Id say the main difference being this one is softer on the lips as you would expect. 

This is my only Barry M lipstick, I hate that they dont have names just numbers. Its not very soft to go on the lips but once its on I love the colour, I love how bright it is and this one seems a more 'barbie' kind of colour. 

This is one my newest lipsticks that I recently done a post on. I Wore this while out shopping all day and when I came home my lips were not perfect but still had pink on I was very impressed for the price. They go on nice and soft, great pigment and the cutest packaging ive ever seen. Love it. 

Last but not least...

Illamasqua is by far one of my most favourite make up brands, their products excite me and always make me wana play round with make up and have fun. This lipstick like the Barry M one doesnt go on your lips as smooth but with this once its on it stays on, I wore it on a night out once and didnt even have to top it up. Truly amazing. Maybe abit of lipbalm would help it go on smoother, but its not really a massive issue for me. 

So looking at this post... theres not a massive difference in each lipstick when they are on my lips but they are all different to me in their own ways. I love every one, hence them making my top 5 and something tells me ill continue to buy more hot pink lipstick. 
I really enjoyed doing this post so I will be doing more top 5's and 10's.

Hello Kitty Lipstick, SOOO CUTE!!!

Heyy Everyone, 
While shopping in Superdrug today I literally saw the cutest thing ive ever seen, are you ready.... A Hello Kitty Make Up Stand. Aggghhhhh it was just too cute for words. 
I love Hello Kitty anyway so Hello Kitty plus make up products = a very happy lucy.

I only bought two lipsticks today, but I think ill be going back for more very soon. 

How amazing are these seriously the pink one is called 'Underground Queen' and the red one is called 'Blazin' 

Ive not worn them yet but im wearing the red one tonight so I will yet you know what they are like and how they last. They look good from the swatches tho so ive got high hopes. 

These lipsticks cost £3.99 each, absolute bargain. 

So have you seen these before because I havnt, they was the nicest surprise ever. 

I'm off to a Halloween party tonight, my original outfit isn't happening now but hopefully ill still look good. Will update you in my Halloween post.

Superdrug Haulage

Heyy Everyone...
I popped into Superdrug today, I used the last of my Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation this morning, and im very low on my Revlon Colourstay so I really needed a new foundation, I also ran out of my Lasting Perfection concealer so needed more of that too. 

I decided I wanted to try a new foundation id never used before, a decision I usually regret *cough Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Cough* because I do love the Healthy Mix so much, but I also like to experiment and mix up my products. 

  I decided to go for the Rimmel 25 hour foundation in shade 200 Soft Beige £6.99 and because I spent over £6.00 on Rimmel I got a free Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner. I also picked up Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara, this is one of my favourite mascaras £7.99. 

Ive been eyeing the Kate Lipsticks for a while now, but never bought one until today. I picked up the shade 101, a nice dusky pink colour really easy to wear ill be doing a FOTD with it soon. £5.49

The Olay skincare was on sale so I picked up some eye makeup remover £1.52 and a Olay Toner £2.40. I also got some Nivea wipes, cotton wool pads and a new Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. 

Im really excited to try the foundation and lipstick, ill do a post soon on what I think. Ive also got a haircare post coming up too.

Christmas Goodies

Heyy Everyone,
Ive been absolutley loving seeing what everyone has got for Christmas these last few days. So heres a quick post of a few of my bits put together. Its not all here because some of its been used, or in the wash or just not that exciting to the eye aka my ipod dock...

Santa was very good to me this year :D

This or That Make Up Tag

Make Up

Blush or Bronzer? I love both blush and bronzer, but if I had to choose one it would be Blush.

Lipgloss or Lipstick? Ive never ever been a lipstick person until recently, but im loving them so i will say Lipstick. 

Eyeliner or Mascara? 110% Mascara, could not live without it.

Foundation or Concealer? I would have to say Foundation, I dont think my skin is good enough for just concealer but how I wish it was.

Brushes or Sponges? Brushes, I dont think ive used sponges since I was about 14, cant stand them.

Nails

Long or short? Short, I cant function with long nails, I find everything so much harder to do and hate that I cant txt with them either. 

Acrylic or Natural? I would love to say natural but mine are shocking so it will be Acrylic.

Brights or Darks? Brights

Flower or no flower? A flower can look really cute, so yeah im all for that.

Body

Perfume or Body Splash? Perfume, the longer lasting the better.

Lotion or Body Butter? Body Butter, love how thick and rich they are. The body Shop ones being my fave. 

Body Wash or Soap? Body Wash, cant even remember the last time I used a bar of soap. Find them too drying on my skin. 

Fashion

Jeans or Sweat Pants? Jeans, unless Im slobbing round the house. Although I dont really wear either. 

Long Sleeve or Short? Short all the way

Dresses or Skirts? Dresses, love them. 

Stripes or Plaid? Stripes

Flip Flops or Sandals?  Sandals, I hate that little bit that goes between your toe

Scarves or Hats? Scarves, I have loads of hats but never wear them. 

Studs or Dangly Earrings? Dangly all the way, the more Pat Butcher style the better.

Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots? If I had to choose it would be Cowboy, but dont wear either.

Jacket or Hoodie? Jacket, I only own one hoodie.

Hair

Curly or Straight? Straight

Bun or Ponytail? Bun, love the messy bun look for daytime. 

Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? Bobby Pins, keep finding them all over the house

Hair Spray or Gel? Hair Spray, hate the hard effect Gel gives. 

Long or Short? Long, although my hair is not very long I dream of growing it and it being fabulous. 

Light Or Dark? If you know me then you will know I swap from light to dark all the time. Id have to say light is my favorite.

Side Swept bangs or Full Bangs? Side Swept

Up or Down? This is tough, I like both. Ill say down

Random

Rain or Shine? This may sound strange but I love the rain, I love how it sounds hitting the windows, I love being laid in bed with heavy rain outside, its so cosy. 

Summer or Winter? I love both for different reasons. I would choose winter over summer, I love being sat inside drinking tea/hot chocolate in my fleecy winter socks with the fire on. 

Fall or Spring? Fall

Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate, I eat it every day. LOVE it.

Pound Shop Wowness!!

Heyy everyone..
Can you imagine my face when I popped into the pound shop  for nothing more than two bottles of pepsi max and seen these....

Thats right... Two Rimmel London eyeshadows, just look how pretty they are. These are a cream eyeshadow and I think they are stunning. One is a grey/black colour with silver sparkle, the other is a purple/pink with purple and pink sparkle. They are super pigmented but ive not worn them out yet so not sure how they last on the eyes but for £1.00 they cant really do wrong. 


If you have a pound shop near by have a pop in and see what you can find. There are some right beautys to be found. I even picked up some for my mum and she loves them too.
