Illamasqua and Kardashian Kollection Dress

Heyy Everyone,
Last week I had a night out in town to celebrate my birthday. I always like to feel special when its my birthday night out so that means finding the perfect dress and makeup.

As you may of seen in a recent post I got some new Illamasqua goodies in the form of Sophie blusher and Immodest lipstick. I could not wait to wear them. Here is what they looked like on.

As you can see the lipstick isnt as bright on the lips as maybe you would first think, its a very beautiful wearable shade. The Sophie blusher has soon became my favorite blush, I don't have anything like it in my collection. As you can see it just gives a lovely sheen to the cheeks without being too much. I topped them up once through the night but not sure if that was habit or because I needed too, the more I drank the less accurate my judgement is. I dont ever remember thinking I 'needed' to top up anyway.

Next up I needed the perfect dress... and I found it, I really did. Being a massive fan of the Kardashians, Kim in particular I was super excited about the 'Kardashian Kollection' available in Dorothy Perkins, and id set my heart on the stunning keyhole dress id seen Kim wearing, only every time I checked the website it was not available. I dedicated hours looking and in the end thought I must now resort to Ebay. I sometimes can feel very cheated by Ebay as when something is sold out people seem to rocket the price up and it does annoy me to be honest. By this time I was a woman on a mission and I searched through every single keyhole dress to find the best price. Most the dresses were around the £40-£50 mark, then I spotted one buy it now £40.00 or make your best offer so I was in there like swimwear making my offer of £30.00 and preying for it to be accepted. I then received an offer from the seller of £33.00 and I quickly accepted and paid. I was on such a high.
The dress comes in black, red, purple and green. For some reason I was very drawn to the green, even though I don't think ive ever wore a green dress before. I just thought the colour was stunning and I could picture my gold shoes and accessories with it.
Because the dress is a figure hugging one I went a size up for fear of it being too tight. When the dress arrived I was even more in love with it, the quality is amazing. It fitted fine but I think the size down would of been ok too. So if your wondering about sizing id say there pretty true to size but go up a size for a little more comfort as I did.

I wore with some gold glittery wedges and simple gold accessories. I feel like the dress was classy with the length and long sleeves but still dressy with the front detail. I cant describe how much I love this dress and I really want more from the Kardashian Kollection.
I also wore my extensions for the first time in ages, they are from Foxy Locks but I did have to tone them to match my hair.

In other news I started my fashion and photography make up course on Wednesday and its going to be so much work but i'm very excited for it, even that first class was so inspiring. I have homework to do but because make up is a genuine passion it just doesn't feel like work at all.

Hope your all well, and ready to spoil all your lovely mummy's this Sunday  Think me an my mum and some her friends are just having a quite one, not a clue what i'm wearing yet tho. AGGHH.

Let me know what you think of the make up and dress and if you have any more Illamasqua recommendations be sure to let me know.

Illamasqua Sun on a Rainy Day

Heyy Everyone...
Today has very much been one of those mehhh days... been up and down like a roller-coaster. I'm sure many of you can relate.
Well, my day got a hell of allot better when my postman knocked on the door, I'm thinking I haven't ordered anything... have I . Quickly scanning my brain for any recent online purchases.
He then hands me a sexy black envelope and I see the word Illamasqua.
As excited as a porcupine meeting a pineapple I run inside and rip it open. Inside im amazed to see a lipstick and eye-shadow from 'Human Fundamentalism - The second Evolution' what a lovely surprise.

The lipstick... oh wow the lipstick. Its gorgeous, its stunning, its pure pink sexualness. I know you may be a little cynical with me being sent it but I swear this lipstick is already in my top favourites I own, if not favourite... it was nothing less than love at first sight. I wore it today I must show you.

The lipstick is in the shade Eurydice, as you can see it a gorgeous hot pink colour. Looks so stunning and striking on the lips. It also lasted on me all day, as with all Illamasqua lipsticks.

This is available online at Illamasqua.com from Tuesday 17th April. Guys I cant rave about it enough, a must have for all us lipstick lovers out there.

I also received a gorgeous eye shadow in the shade Fledgling, a gorgeous green colour. You look at it and instantly feel inspired to play with make up. I love the names Illamasqua give their products. So unique, fits the brand perfectly. I will do a post on this soon. I cant wait to wear it.

I also got my eye on a lipstick called Liable that's described as a rich scarlet/orange colour. So remember Human Fundamentalism - The second Evolution has new lines added and are available online at Illamasqua.com from Tuesday 17th April.

Illamasqua: Human Fundamentalism

Heyy Everyone..
As you may know I was very lucky to be invited to the launch of Illamasqua's new collection Human Fundamentalism.

'Human Fundamentalism is an explosion of your alter ego. It's becoming who you are and NOT WHO YOU'RE TOLD TO BE.
Because beauty isn't conformity, but the fundamental human desire to express your inner self on the outside.'

So here it is the new collection by Illamasqua.
Illamasqua is still a very young brand, but they are known for pushing the boundary's and encouraging you to experiment and play with make up. Instead of a black liquid liner, this collection has a white and instead of a nude/pink lipstick we have a teal.
'Human Fundamentalism' is all about expressing yourself through make up and not conforming to what you think you 'should' wear.

In this collection there are two palettes, one is the Fundamental Palette, glistening liquid metal in molten pewter, matt cream pigment in mint green and two vibrant powder eye shadows in Hype (bold yellow) and Inception (rich Violet)
The other is the Neutral Palette, four gorgeous shades including Vintage, a gorgeous antique gold shade thats exclusive to this palette.
There is also two new lipsticks, a gorgeous deep red and a teal. Two nail varnishes Nomad (bright Jade) and Stance (Fuchia Violet) Six individual eye shadows, a little sealing gel that turns any powder product into a water-resistant paste. Precision Ink in Scribe (true white) and last but by no means least a new Skin Base   foundation in shade Au, that has tiny flecks of metalic shimmer.

While at the event I couldn't help but be in awe of all the girls wearing their white liner and teal lips, something I would of never dreamed of doing. I felt very bland in my smoky brown eye and pink lips, as soon as I saw the collection it made me want to dive in and say sod it to the make up 'rules'

My personal stand out pieces are the two nail varnishes and the Skin Base in Au - trust me ill be ordering this asap.

Illamasqua always put on such a good show, its like nothing is ever too much and I really love that about them. Sometimes I really have to pinch myself for being invited.
Although I was happy enough to just be there, sticking my fingers in products and talking about the collection they didn't let us leave empty handed. I would never expect a goody bag, but when it was handed to me I could hardly contain my excitement. I think you will see why.

How amazing is this goody bag... like seriously. And im such a sucker for little cards with my name on.

Thank you so much Illamasqua... just for being.... you :)

Sooo hope you liked this post, and wasnt too long for you.
Whats your thoughts on this collection? Are you brave enough to push the make up boundary's...

Is there such thing as TOO much pink??...

Heyy Everyone..
Hope your all doing well and enjoying your weekend. I'm currently very hungover and in bed unable to move so I decided to put the time to good use and do abit of blogging.
So last night was my birthday night out number 2. I went out with my  friends I first met in school and had such a laugh. Life.. boyfriends... babies... always seem to get in the way of us meeting as much as we would like but we all promised to make more time because when we are together its always amazing.

I cant wait to show you my outfit, one of my friends said I look like a big candyfloss and she wants to eat me... haha I'm sure bf would be pleased with that :P So that led me to wonder 'Is there such a thing as too much pink?' I very quickly answered my own question with NO there isn't :D

You know when you get ready and your really happy at the end that's how I felt last night, I felt the whole outfit screamed 'me' and I loved it. I danced my little feet off all night in my bubblegum pink sparkly bubble and loved every second.
The dress only cost £20 that you may remember from a earlier post, the shoes were in Asos sale, earrings in New Look sale, and pink sparkle hairband is from some local random shop that sells wigs and hairpieces, I have one in a teal colour too. My nails were leopard print stick on nails from Primark, and lashes from primark too.
So all in all the whole look didn't cost me too much, always a bonus.
Oh I wore my new Topshop lipstick in Innocent and I think its my favourite lipstick of right now. Gorgeous colour, feels lovely on the lips. Ill defo be buying more.

I'm going to an Illamasqua event in Leeds on the 7th March. If anyone is going give me a holler, will be good to catch up. Oh and if you haven't checked out Illamasqua.com yet then you should immediately, its had a big makeover and I can very easily spend hours on it. In all honesty its the best make up website I've ever been on, you can really get to know the brand, of course you can buy their wonderful products too but theres also so much more on there.

What you all been up to this weekend?

Big Hugs

Boxing Night Madness

Heyyy Everyone..
Im feeling rather tender today due to copious amounts of alcohol last night, even a KFC and selection box Snicker hasnt properly sorted me out!!!
I bagged tickets to a local social club, think something along the lines of Phoenix Nights and I absolutely loved it. There was live singers, bingo and then a disco to finish the night. I danced and sang my little heart away and everyone there was just out to have fun.
Anyway onto the more important subject of what I wore;
I went into town yesterday and it was so busy, we was literally on our way back the car when I spotted this dress for £10... yes TEN POUNDS!!!!

This dress was exactly what I wanted, dressy enough for me to feel dressed up but not TOO much. Its a really nice fit too.

Next up THE SHOESIES....

Ahhhhhhhhh how fab are these?? They are quite clearly Jeffrey Campbell alike's but I unfortunately dont have the funds for a real pair so these will do just fine. As soon as I saw them I fell in love, and just had to make them mine.
They cost me £30, and also come in different colours and styles (I have my eyes on a few) Literally every time ive worn them ive had so many compliments. Its LOVE <3 <3

Sorry about the pictures I was running late as usual. I wore my blingin Illamasqua lashes to look extra festive an up the sparkle factor even more.

Hope you all had a fab Christmas and Boxing Day. The sales havnt lured me in yet but its only a matter of time.

Illamasqua has came to Liverpool baby!!

Launch party of Illamasqua in Met Quarter Liverpool pictured are Creative Director Alex Box and Joint MD Joseph Corre with some performers from Garlands
(photo taken from Echo.co.uk)

Heyyy everyone,
Well I have quite possibly most exciting post to share with you. As you may or may not know Illamasqua launched in Liverpool last Saturday 29th October in the Met Quarter, which is only the second stand alone store in the UK.
I popped down for a nosey on Saturday and was so impressed with the store. Ive never used any Illamasqua products before, mainly due to the fact its not been accessible to me and felt like I didnt want to part with the cash online as I like to see things for myself. I ended up buying my first Illamasqua lipstick, in shade Climax, its a gorgeous nudey pink colour. I went for something I could easily wear everyday and I think I have done since the day I bought it.

As you can see its such a gorgeous wearable colour. Goes on like a dream too.

I was also invited to the VIP event on Wednesday 2nd November. I was super excited and couldnt wait to go. Here is what I decided to wear.

Whole outfit except the shoes are from the ever so wonderful Primark haha.

As I turned up at the store I could see all the effort that had been put into the night with all the colourful Performers as you can see in the first picture.
The man behind the brand Joseph Corre - son of designer Vivienne Westwood and Sex Pistols svengali Malcolm McLaren - was at the store for a glamorous drinks reception with creative director Alex Box.

When Corre was looking for locations to expand his make-up brand he came to Liverpool on a scouting mission.

'Obviously I knew the city a bit, I know my mum's store and I know the people there at Cavern Walks. So I came up to have a look at options and there was so much stuff going on. But more than that I just looked at all these girls really dressed up and wearing loads of make-up and it just felt right'

'There really is no such thing as over-dressed in Liverpool and that's great, I love that'

I love that last quote, Ive always really loved and enjoyed being a Liverpool girl for that exact reason.
I know Illamasqua is going to be huge here in Liverpool, because they are always so bold and love putting on a show.

I was met by the lovely Hayley who was so warm and easy to talk to, you can really tell how dedicated all the staff are to the brand, and there love and warmth really shines through.
I also met Blogger and Youtuber Franki @littlecurlygirl http://thelittlecurlygirl.blogspot.com/ She was sooooo lovely, and was glad to have her there to talk to.

Here a a few snaps from the event

The lashes are totally amazing, and as a big false lash girl I fell in love. Then to top it off we was treated to a free pair of lashes applied. I chose some stunning handmade lashes with copper gems on, there was also a silver pair that Franki got. These lashes are £25 but trust me they are the most stunning eyelashes ive EVER seen, they get sooo many compliments and they would be perfect for nights out and with Xmas round the corner too I know they will sell well. I was also astounded at how light they feel, they was the most comfortable lashes ive ever worn.
Another thing I was in love with are the pure pigments. OH MY WORD they are the most stunning, sparkling pigments ive ever seen. I literally could not stop looking at them and swatching them. My favorite is a coppery brown colour called Ore, this is officially on my Xmas list.

As it was time to leave we was handed a goodie bag, and I really did feel like a kid on Christmas. I walked out with it and could not wait to see what was inside. Once I was sat down (on the train no less) I dived in for a look. I was so taken aback at what I saw.

How amazing is this goodie bag, im blown over by it. There is a Bronzing Duo, Illumine Oil, False Lashes, and a Intense Lipgloss in shade Femme.
The bottom picture are the lashes I had applied or meand let me tell you the pictur does them no justice, they are sooo sparkly.

I will do a more in depth post on these items, I cant wait to use them and tell you what I think.

Id like to thank everyone at Illamasqua for putting on such a fabulous and breathtaking  event. I think Liverpool is the perfect place for this brand.
